Low But Closed Cervix In Pregnancy

"Diary of a zombie Llauger Sergi

Diary of a zombie, Sergi Llauger, ed. Dolmen, 2011 Barcelona

A post-apocalyptic zombie infested. A zombie different points named Eric and it seems to maintain that something that made him human. A lost child symbolizes hope. A strange friendship that will change everything.

I admit. When I got this book in a box and I read his short story, go bullshit. And that is the story of friendship between a zombie and a girl I thought was a ridiculous story linking together in one, a lot of arguments why I have some grudge. So ruled. Time passed and one day I again walked without stopping to read the novel long Llauger Sergi and without thinking I took her home. There, after a coffee perpetrated milk and as Zombie Girl exlicara asked me to what it was novel, The Law and, okay, I admit, a book can not be judged either by the lids or by the plot summaries. If it had done to the remains of the wreckage I have lost a good novel, great moments and some more than well-spent hours of reading.

Diary of a zombie is a good novel. A point too long, okay, but without the feeling of starting pages come to appear at any time. One area Erico zombie lives only preserves their humanity and where we come in the most classical and pure zombie literature. The slow, late payment and fascination in those first pages are spreading the reading but is interrupted after a esstupenda image of dancing and a glance. It is from here and following the incursion of Eric in the Gracia district when the story shifts in tone and start the real adventure. All accompanied by a rapid style, fast and very intense. I was close to presenting a world devastated that I know first hand, a zombie-crowded Barcelona, destroyed and over. The framework in the novel is well constructed, well-crafted and is an actant more in the course of events. Barcelona, polygons, El Masnou, Girona, Pyrenees ... Recognizably different places are finally overrun by hordes of dead murderers.

After this it is clear that the protagonists make a journey, as does the genre and gave me the impression that it took to go Sergi Llauger dropping the different facets of the genre, zombie much more fruitful than it might seem: the classic zombie attack and harassment romeriano, Matheson and I Am Legend (which, despite no zombies out, is fundamental to the genre), the zombies slow and fast but there are references to video games, at times closer to science fiction (the imposing figure of the Archangels) and action films. Even with fits of a healthy pulp universe in the figure of the mad doctor (although at times I turned too cartoonish), absurd plans and egotism.

Of course, all this (and much more that escapes me) would not be a bad pastiche or a simple set of references if not for one thing: Sergi Llauger complies with honors and created two good main characters: Eric and Paula. By a strange alchemy, Sergi made possible and credible image of a zombie with feelings and soul. Although not a new figure (remember the saga David Wellington so unhappy now that I left it), yeah that's the one I I think. Eric is presented with enough layers to empathize with him as a character. Erico both the human and the dead. His path to a cynicism about loneliness built up responsibility and love you just feel for Paula, the girl, the heroine of this story and character that must be saved. Between Eric and Paula set a story of love and friendship, a respect for different and a need for two single people and injured by a family. Diary of a zombie no longer a novel about love, family and hope.

And surprisingly the latter. Because despite the harshness, violence and cruelty, Diary of a zombie is a luminous novel hopeful. Yet there is hope. There is salvation and redemption for man. Be able to fight and win their ghosts.

The story is well told and very entertaining and addictive. To my taste the part of the cave is too ... I do not know ... overly indebted to certain games (although I proved valuable as a source of inspiration for a game of role), preferring the psychological tension and violence of the attack classical polygons, the entry in Girona, human blood group of refugees or the scene I remember most, the encounter with the other, which could be me, Eric makes the appliance store.

short, well, a good and entertaining post-apocalyptic novel. An exhilarating tale of zombies and a beautiful novel about friendship. With less gore than it may seem, more action than you imagine and many good feelings. A very exciting proposal for the new English fantasy.
